Q: I forgot my dog's birthday! Can I order a last minute cake?
A: Maybe! Ordering on our website is possible with three days notice. Any less and you'll need to email us direct: drool@dogcakes.com.au. We will always do our best to ensure dogs aren't without a cake on their special day!
Q: Where can I pick up my dog's cake?
A: You can pick up from our home locations at either Chapel Hill, Brisbane, or North Ipswich. Choose your pick up location online when you order. You will receive an email on the morning of pick up with the full pick up address and instructions.
Q: What time are you open for pick up?
A: You can pick up any time from 8.30am to 9pm. No need to contact us - just show up. We have outdoor cake fridges at all our locations, so no need to knock!
Q: What happens if I'm late or can't pick up on the date I chose?
A: We'll leave the cake in our outdoor cake fridge until the following day to allow late pick ups, but perhaps send us a quick text to let us know. Ph 0403 273 250.
Q: How long does the cake keep?
A: Our dog cakes and pupcakes are designed to be consumed within 24 hours. After that the fresh ingredients (the icing and the words on top) dry up, crack and don't look great. We suggest freezing any left overs!
Q: Do you do any smaller cakes?
A: Our smallest item is a 6-pack of pupcakes ($45). Our round cakes are all approximately 22cm in diameter (a standard size for human's birthday cake), and our bone shaped cakes are a bit longer.
Q: How much cake should my dog eat?
A: We recommend serving your special pooches one or two slices, much the same as you'd serve a human at a birthday party. While our cakes are mostly salt and sugar free, they still fall into the category of a 'treat', and therefore should be only a small portion of your dog's diet.
Q: Can humans eat these dog cakes?
A: No. While we make the cakes in our home kitchen from human-grade ingredients, we would require a food licence to sell them for human consumption. Plus there is no salt or sugar in our cake and pupcake mixes, so they will taste quite bland to humans.
Q: Do you do Gender Reveal dog cakes?
A: Yes! Just email us at drool@dogcakes.com.au to request a gender reveal cake. Choose from any of our cakes (not pupcakes) and we'll add pink or blue icing inside, and add writing of your choice on top. Just add $10 extra to the price.
